  • Marketers who wish to display personalized ads in the European Economic Area are required to provide Google with verifiable consent signals by March 2024.

  • Shopify partners with French commerce unicorn, Mirakl, to enable merchants to expand their businesses. They can sell through Mirakl-powered marketplaces or launch their own enterprise platforms.

  • Flexport, the struggling forwarder, secures an impressive $260 million investment from Shopify.

  • Plus merchants can now assign users the permission to perform the initial POS Initial login in their Organization Settings.

  • The draft order market selector has been updated to a pricing selector, allowing merchants to modify pricing and presentment currency. Other settings remain unaffected.

If you've ever wondered about the cost of advertising on the Sphere, here are some numbers for you. Advertising on the Sphere during Super Bowl week ranges from $1 million to $2 million and gets more expensive as brands get closer to game day.

On February 11, no more than two brands will appear on the Sphere, as brands were required to buy a complete takeover for the day. The game-day takeover will last for around 12 hours.

Typically, the Sphere features three to four brands each day, cycling through each every few seconds for a total screen time of four hours. The cost is roughly $450,000.
