Amazon shared that this year marked their largest Prime Day sale yet! Prime Day shoppers in the US splurged over $14B this year during Amazon's 48-hour sales, up 11% from last year, as per Adobe Analytics. The company also mentioned a record-breaking number of customers who signed up for Prime in the three weeks before the event.
Prime Day boosted electronics sales by 61% compared to June's daily average. Back-to-school items like backpacks, lunchboxes, stationery, and school supplies soared by 216%, children's apparel by 165%, and home furnishings doubled in online transactions with a 75% increase in conversion rates, as per Criteo.
