  • Bundles created using the Shopify Bundles application can now be published to and sold on Shopify POS!

  • Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days event returns on October 8-9, offering exclusive deals for Prime members with new offers every five minutes during select periods.

  • Shopify introduced Carbon Commerce, a platform for buying and selling carbon credits online. It includes an inventory management system for spot purchases, pre-purchase agreements, long-term offtakes, and inventory projections.

  • Shopify Flow: The workflow run list has been improved with clearer status indicators, faster loading times, and detailed error tracking for more efficient troubleshooting.

  • Amazon introduced a chatbot called Project Amelia, designed to assist sellers by answering questions and providing business insights. It can handle queries about shopping events, sales metrics, and inventory issues. The beta version is now available to some sellers, with plans to soon expand access to more U.S. sellers.

  • Duty inclusive pricing is now available to Managed Markets merchants. Reduce checkout surprises with duty inclusive pricing.

  • Shipping amounts shown in the financial summary of the order details page now account for refunds.

Thinking about trying out TikTok Shop? Here are some insights you should know. 

Major brands are absent, with early adopters, often Chinese, dominating sales. While TikTok Shop will hit single-digit billions in sales this year, it falls short of expectations due to limited inventory and Western consumers still adapting. It's fun and effective for volume with affiliates but isn't yet a major or scalable channel for brands.

Optimization tip

If you plan to add a large video to your page, make sure to A/B test it with and without the video. It significantly changes the customer journey. It's crucial to understand its impact on conversion rates (CR) and average order value (AOV) and quantify the overall effect.
