1. B2B features are now available on every Shopify plan โ no Plus required
For the first time, merchants on Basic, Grow, and Advanced plans get native B2B tools - no plugins, no workarounds, no separate systems.
What's now included:
Company profiles for wholesale buyers
Up to 3 custom catalogs with tailored pricing per buyer
Volume discounts and quantity rules
Vaulted credit cards and payment terms
Why it matters: B2B and DTC now run from one admin. Merchants using Shopify B2B see up to a 33% increase in self-serve orders within six months and a 4.1x increase in reorder frequency. That's the difference between a customer who orders once and one who comes back on their own every month.
What to do: Check your B2B settings in Shopify admin. If you've been putting off wholesale because the setup felt too complex - that excuse is gone.

3. ChatGPT + Shopify: What's actually happening now
Your products are in ChatGPT by default. No setup needed. When a buyer clicks, they land on your storefront in an in-app browser โ your checkout, your data, your brand.
One thing to know: AI-driven traffic to Shopify stores is up 7x since January 2025. AI-attributed orders are up 11x. Shoppers arriving from AI convert 31% better and bounce 33% less than traffic from other channels.
This is already showing up in analytics for stores paying attention.
Why it matters: Being in the catalog doesn't mean you get chosen. ChatGPT ranks products by data quality โ not by store size or ad spend. Vague titles, missing attributes, thin descriptions, and low review counts push you down or out entirely. The stores winning right now aren't the biggest โ they're the most readable to AI.
What operators are doing right now:
Rewriting product titles to be specific: "Classic Tee" โ "Heavyweight Cotton Unisex Graphic Tee, Available in 8 Colors"
Filling every metafield: material, dimensions, use case, audience
Building review volume โ AI treats it as a trust signal
Keeping pricing and inventory accurate in real time
